Our Distinctives

Calling, Confessions, Curriculum, Community, and Cost

At The College at Southeastern, students don’t have to choose between a strong education and their Christian convictions. As a confessional four-year school, we are committed to deepening your biblical convictions as we prepare you for ministry, missions, and the marketplace.

  • "The College at Southeastern has been a community that has intellectually and spiritually equipped me to proclaim Jesus more clearly through honest, humble, and compassionate ministry."

  • "I chose The College at Southeastern because I wanted to attend a school that used a biblical foundation."

  • "I love how I am being equipped for the mission field and to serve my Lord anywhere I am."

At The College, our students receive the best of a Christian liberal arts education from a world-class faculty they can trust in a community where they are known and at a price they can afford. We often describe the culture and values that make us unique in terms of five distinctives: calling, confession, curriculum, community, and cost.

You will be firmly grounded in the truth of God's word, academically equipped in your field of study, and spiritually prepared to fulfill the mission of God wherever he has you serve.

From the Provost

“We are committed to a holistic and formative education experience so that when students complete their time at The College at Southeastern, they will earnestly love God, love the truth, love the Church, and love the world. Our goal is to produce graduates who are firmly grounded in the truth, thoroughly trained in the field, and spiritually prepared to engage the world on mission for Christ.”

– Scott Pace, Provost, Dean of Graduate Studies

We affirm four doctrinal statements: The Baptist Faith and Message 2000, the Abstract of Principles, the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, and the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
