At The College, our students receive the best of a Christian liberal arts education from a world-class faculty they can trust in a community where they are known and at a price they can afford. We often describe the culture and values that make us unique in terms of five distinctives: calling, confession, curriculum, community, and cost.

Calling

You will be firmly grounded in the truth of God's word, academically equipped in your field of study, and spiritually prepared to fulfill the mission of God wherever he has you serve.

From the Provost

“We are committed to a holistic and formative education experience so that when students complete their time at The College at Southeastern, they will earnestly love God, love the truth, love the Church, and love the world. Our goal is to produce graduates who are firmly grounded in the truth, thoroughly trained in the field, and spiritually prepared to engage the world on mission for Christ.”

– Scott Pace, Provost, Dean of Graduate Studies

Confessions

We affirm four doctrinal statements: The Baptist Faith and Message 2000, the Abstract of Principles, the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, and the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.

Equipping students to give their lives for the cause of Christ in the Church, among the nations, and in every aspect of society

Curriculum

No matter your program, you'll study with world-class professors, prepare for the real-world complexity of missions and ministry, and learn skills from experienced leaders and pastors.

The BA and BS degrees at Southeastern consist of a core curriculum which includes vital training in biblical studies, Christian worldview, world history, theology and English. In addition to their selected BA major, all BA students complete a minor in Christian studies with the option of adding a second minor in their area of interest. For students on a BS track, all students have the option of transferring in an A.A./A.S., dual-enrolling in a vocational program at another institution, or completing the business minor.

Community
