NC Need Based Scholarship

Description: Applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Be a North Carolina resident as well as an N.C. resident for tuition purposes, as defined by the N.C. Residency Manual
• Be enrolled as an undergraduate student in at least 9 credit hours at a qualifying private North Carolina campus
• Demonstrate a certain level of financial need based on calculated
• Students do not have to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) multiple times in the same year. When the student submits their FAFSA® for Pell grants, the same application will be used to determine their NC Need Based Scholarship eligibility.

Deadline:

• The FAFSA® opens October 1st, students are encouraged to apply early before the State’s funds have been exhausted

*Must include previous year’s tax information, and must have already filed taxes for the year before applying.
*Upon completion of FAFSA® , please designate Southeastern as your school of choice.
*Students are fully responsible for meeting the requirements of the scholarship.That includes but is not limited to successfully/accurately completing FAFSA® each year, submitting all verification documents in a timely manner, and completing any requested corrections. Failing to do so may result in losing the full amount of the award.
