Major: Theology

Year in School: Senior

What has been one of your most memorable experiences at Southeastern so far?

Honestly, I have cherished every moment of my time here at Southeastern. House System however, even though being new and on its beginning stages, has created a Christ-centered community among the college students in such a way that it has not only changed living life at Southeastern, but also beyond the boundaries of the campus. This has been the most memorable experience at Southeastern so far.

How are you hoping to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission?

After completing my education here at Southeastern, I want to go back to my country (Nepal) and equip local believers to serve the churches and fulfill the Great Commission by teaching them proper theological truths from the Scriptures.

Which classes have most equipped and encouraged you to do this?

Because I want to help equip local believers by teaching them proper theological truths, classes like hermeneutics, Old and New Testament theology and international church planting have been really helpful.

How has the local church played a vital role in your spiritual growth?

I go to Macedonia Baptist Church, Holly Springs, which I prefer to call my home away from home. This church, ever since I got to the States, has been equipping me from the Word and helped me get involved in various ministries of church. I have been given the opportunity to lead worship and help out with the young adult ministries.

What would be your encouragement to students who are considering Southeastern?

Living life at Southeastern has been one of the best experiences of my life. Christ-centered community, Great Commission classrooms and spiritual development have all helped me become better at fulfilling God’s calling in my life. What’s your calling?
