Women’s Life at The College at Southeastern offers a variety of opportunities for you build relationships and community. As you discover your mission, learn and serve alongside other women on campus.

We are always interested in serving you in any way we possibly can! Email us at womenslife@sebts.edu or call (919) 761-2340. We also invite you to drop by and see us in the Women’s Life Office on the second floor of the Ledford Center.

Thrive Mentoring Program

The Thrive Mentoring program at The College at Southeastern and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is an opportunity for intentional mentoring by women associated with Southeastern. Select your mentor or let us pair you with one, and you will meet for practical and spiritual guidance and growth.

We will work with you to establish contact with your mentor and then you can begin meeting. We’ll check in every few months to make sure all is well, but other than that, the mentoring relationship is up to you and your mentor. We’ve designed this program to allow you the freedom to focus where you wish. Your relationship with your mentor may be narrowly focused, honing in on one or two things in particular; or it might be broader.

Every now and then, a student realizes that the mentor she’s picked might not be the best fit. We easily handle that in our office, so if you feel as though you might not have picked the right person, just let us know and we’ll take care of it.

Contact Lesley Hildreth, assistant director of Women’s Life, at lhildreth@sebts.edu for more information and to sign up for mentorship.

Events

Connecting Point events are held 4-5 times per academic year. Each has its own unique flavor and is designed to encourage fellowship among the Southeastern women. As a campus organization, Connecting Point is lead by women who are either students themselves or married to a student. Not only does this serve the Southeastern community well, but it also provides valuable training for these women as they prepare to go out and minister in other areas.

The Women’s Life Office hosts additional events just for women throughout each academic year! Every semester we have an All-Women’s Chapel followed by a Brown Bag lunch where you can get to know the speaker more. We also have various Brown Bag lunches on a variety of topics that are important for women today.
